The Fire Technology Department of Porterville College in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service and CAL FIRE is pleased to offer the course “Fireline Safety Awareness for Hired Vendors”.This one-day training is required annually for operators of privately-owned equipment contracted to respond to active wildland fires with the State of California (CAL FIRE) and/or the United States Forest Service.
Registration and payment, which will only be accepted online or in person, must be received by 5:00 p.m. the Wednesday before the class, NO EXCEPTIONS! No walk-ins will be accepted. Class size is limited and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We anticipate that classes will fill rapidly, so don’t delay.

***Students must be present the entire length of the class and pass the required Fire Shelter Skill in order to receive the certificate of completion.
